Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone

1, 2집에 비해 너무 변해버린 스타일 탓에 외면받기도 한 3집. 

처음엔 왜 이렇게 변해버렸는지 실망스럽기 짝이없었다. 

하지만 며칠전 우연히 가사집을 들춰보면서 그 생각에 약간은 변화가 생겼다. 

보컬 알렉스 터너(Alex Turner)의 감수성이 이정도 일 줄은 상상도 못했다. 

3집 중에서도 특히 이 곡은 풍부한 감정을 담고 있어서 눈물이 날 정도이다.

그들은 변한게 아니라 성숙한 것이었다.

한가지 안타까운 점은, 잔뜩 날이 선 채로 쏘아대던 라이브 실력이 갈 수록 빛을 잃어간다는 점....
